Ethan Allen to petition US DOC for anti-dumping duty
ReplyDeleteThe famous furniture firm, Ethan Allen, will seek petition to the US Department of Commerce to implement anti-dumping duties to four Chinese-made wooden chests, delivered by trustworthy construction in Cambodia http://www.ufocambodia.com/.
After DOC declared that the chests were under the duty on May 27, the firm, however, questioned about the decision after it found fault in the pricing of the chests.
This issue stir the suspicions on DOC ruling in the duty and was asked by Mowry&Grimson law firm to reopened and apply the antidumping regulation on those chests
However, the DOC denied further investigation stating that there are enough proof to who the duty has been applied and said that the case is closed.
The four suspected pieces are Ethan Allen’s Marlene, Nadine and Serpentine chests, and Vivica.
Luggage to be armed with GPS for lost tracking

"The vanity is a simpler, more restrained version of the cabinetry in the owners' former house," LaMendola said. "We pared back the detailing for this project, but still provided a furniture look. We also chose to have just one arch over the round mirrors, rather than two."
"The curve of the arches is repeated in the shape of the antique mercury mirrors behind the tub. And the round shape found in the vanity mirrors has been applied in a different way to the moldings on the tub surround."
For floor tiling, limestone was used.
"This decorative flooring treatment gives the bathroom a more furnished, less utilitarian look," added the designer. "It also draws the eye away from the fact that the window is not centered on the wall."
Illusive leeway by Kwongseng Kiu

The designer than start with the dropped ceiling above the kitchen. "As well as giving an illusion of length to the kitchen, the dropped ceiling also clearly defines the space within the open-plan living area," said designer Kwongseng Kiu. "It also allowed us to install indirect lighting around the edges, which is visually comfortable to work under. To add sparkle and shine, a shimmering light fixture was installed above the island."
A wall separating the staircase from the kitchen was removed to gain more space. "As well as making the space seem larger, this created a direct connection between the staircase and the kitchen," continued the designer. "To further this connection, black granite was used on the bottom step to match the shiny black toekick and bar stools in the kitchen."
"The teak helps the cabinetry merge with the living room, which has wooden furniture. The white cabinets also have the same level of shine as the homogenous tiled floors," added Kiu.

Architect Evelyn McNamara then design a set of cabinet that would match with this wish as well as the rangehood above the off-white island.
"All the cabinets feature solid stained American oak, which has been crown cut to highlight the grain. But the island is in white lacquer," said McNamara. "Because the owner wanted the island to accommodate the cooking center, rather than a messy sink area, I designed a suspended canopy shelf for the hood, which has the same dimensions as the island beneath. The canopy also helps to define the work area within the larger space."
The kitchen finishes with a timber floor board and red stools to offset the dark ambience of the cabinets.
